Jeff Young
Jeff C. Young lives in Florida and is a graduate of Ball State University. Young has worked as a librarian, journalist and free lance writer.
His first book, The Fathers of American Presidents, was published in 1997. Since then, Young has become a prolific, award-winning author of nonfiction books for young adults. In 2007 his book, Bleeding Kansas and the Violent Struggle Over Slavery in the Heartland, won the prestigious Spur Award from the Western Writers of America for Best Juvenile Nonfiction Book. He recently finished writing his 41st book, a young adult biography of LPGA golfer, Michelle Wie.
Young says that he plans to continue writing as long as he has the mental acuity and the physical energy to put words on paper or on a computer screen.
